Build a body you can trust on the trails, roads and hills.

keep Running Coaching

Helping you enjoy running with fewer setbacks and more confidence. Not just stronger - smarter about the patterns behind pain & setbacks.

Most runners accept some level of discomfort or pain as the price of keeping running.

  • You push through and keep going.
  • Tape it up or strap it up.
  • Try the insoles.
  • Change your trainers.
  • Accept the cost of regular physio.
  • Rest when you have to.

Then get back out there as soon as things feel manageable again.

Until eventually…It’s no longer just annoying.

  • It’s affecting your training consistency.
  • Your confidence.
  • Your adventures or races
  • Your enjoyment

Or it stops you running altogether

That’s usually the point people reach out to me.

They are strong, capable, fit.

But the old strategy of pushing through, patching things up and hoping for the best has stopped working.

Steve was ready to burn his trainers and give up!

He has now run half marathons, compelted trathlons and even done a half ironman.

"I still use everything you taught me - it works"

Instead of managing symptoms...change the pattern underneath

Most running injuries are treated as isolated problems.

A knee, a hip, a foot or a calf.

But often the issue isn’t just the painful area itself.

It’s the wider pattern underneath:

That’s why so many runners end up stuck in the same cycle:
settle the pain → return to training → flare up again.

Instead let's understand why

That’s why my approach starts with understanding why your body keeps ending up here in the first place.

Not just helping you settle symptoms temporarily, but helping you understand and change the patterns driving them.

From there, we build movement, strength, recovery and running strategies around you – so your body becomes more capable, adaptable and reliable long term.

Why your body keeps ending up here

Some people come to me unable to run at all.

Others are still training, but constantly battling flare ups, tightness or recurring running injuries.

That’s why the first step is understanding you.

From there, we build a plan around what you need.

That may include:

The goal isn’t just to get you through your next race. It’s to help you build a body that can keep doing what you love long term.

Who we work with

Whether you run races, love long days in the hills, enjoy local trails, or are simply trying to get back to running consistently again…

The runners I work with are all different.

But they usually have one thing in common:

They’re tired of constantly battling the same pain, niggles and setbacks  and know there has to be a smarter way forward than simply pushing through until things break again.

So running can feel free again.

This approach tends to work best for runners who…

It may not be the right fit if you’re looking for:

Here's the goal. Let's build a runner who can get there.

We don’t start with a training plan.

We start by understanding your goals and building a runner who can train consistently, recover well and recognise the warning signs before a niggle becomes an injury.

A runner who understands what their body needs, not just what the training plan says.

Because the goal isn’t simply to complete your next event.

It’s to keep running for years to come.

Running skills

A Keep Running Coaching programme includes everything you’d expect from a running coach:

Movement & Reocvery

But staying injury free and enjoying running isn’t just about what happens during your runs.

Learn how to work with your body instead of constantly firefighting it

There’s a huge amount of noise in the running world.

New shoes.
New recovery tools.
New mobility routines.
New strength plans.

So many “fixes” promising to solve pain and keep you running.

Some of those things can absolutely help.

But without understanding your own body, it’s easy to end up constantly jumping from one thing to the next, never really understanding why problems keep returning.

The goal is for you to feel confident in your approach and game plan.

Through this process you will better understand:

The goal isn’t perfection.

It’s building the awareness and confidence to make better decisions before small issues become major setbacks.

So running feels freeing again, not something you constantly have to manage.

Whether you’re returning from injury, preparing for a challenge or simply tired of the stop-start cycle, the aim is the same:

To help you train with confidence rather than constantly managing the next problem.

3 steps to work with us

Step 1- Book a discovery call

We start with a relaxed conversation about what’s going on.

What’s stopping you running well, and whether this approach feels like the right fit for you.

Step 2 - Book full body MOT

Your MOT helps us understand the bigger picture behind the pain and setbacks.

How your body moves, compensates, loads and responds to stress.

This gives us a clear starting point and helps identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck in the same cycle.

Step 3 - Coaching

From there, we build a plan around you.

Tailoring the approach for you, including movement, strength, recovery, breathing and running-specific strategies.

We gradually help your body become stronger, more resilient and better able to handle the demands of running.

The goal isn’t just to get you through your next race. It’s to help you keep doing what you love for years to come.

Frank's back pain meant he was missing out on runs & even family walks.

Now he is enjoying regular runs and even the occassional race.

He recently completed some solo multi-day hike/runs.

Hi, I'm Julie

In my 30s I was active, practised yoga, strength trained, I was doing all the right things.

Yet I still found myself stuck in a cycle of injuries, setbacks and recurring niggles. Some were minor. Others, like a bulging disc stopped me doing the things I loved for months at a time.

I spent years searching for answers.

What eventually changed wasn't another exercise plan.It was learning how my body actually worked.

Understanding movement patterns, recovery, breathing and the hidden impact of everyday life changed not only how I run, but how I help others run too.

Today I regularly spend 20+ miles in the hills and mountains, not because I’m naturally gifted, but because I finally learned how to work with my body rather than constantly fighting it.

Today I help runners move beyond the same stop-start cycle I found myself stuck in for years, so they can keep doing what they love with more confidence and fewer setbacks.
